02 Pathfinder center vents

I've got a 2002 Pathfinder LE. The dash is the fake wood grain plastic. I put in an aftermarket radio and had to remove the top vent assembly and it just crumbled and cracked on me while I was taking it out. I called the Nissan dealership and they priced me something like $500 for the "center ventilator assembly".... I can't see paying that for one. Does anyone know where I might be able to get one cheaper? I've tried finding a used one but I'm afraid they might all be broken when they're removed. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Here are a few used ones I found on eBay. I doubt you will be able to find a dealer sellilng a new one for less than $400.

I've had the one out of my '01 no problem. Used a thin flat-blade screwdriver wrapped in a shop towel,
just like the FSM said to. So there's hope.
