02 Spec V 79,889 miles

okay so heres my problem, it all started when i cleaned my short ram intake filter. after following proper instructions, the last step was to put a light film of oil (supplied with the short ram) around the filter. i did, and let it set for about two hours. No problems what so ever going to work and back. the next day i was driving a good distance, i decided to punch it and listen to my to cvtc *NIS-TEC* kick in. Dam i love that sound!!! once i hit 5 gear and about to hit 5000 rpm's the dam thing suddenly slowed down. almost like if a govener kicked in. i freaked out not knowing what happend. TUrns out it was the MAF sensor. i replaced it 2 days and $150 bucks later but now the check engine lite worn turn off. i tried using the computers from autozone to eliminate the lite but still it comes back and stays lit. ANother thing is it idles way to high, before it was at 800 now at 1500, its annoying!!!!!!! i noticed i waste more gas as well which is getting expensive!! I tried the idle-relearn but i cant seem to get it right... is there any other way?

if anyone has any ideas as to fixing this problem............i would appreciate any comments or ideas or input!!! anything. thank you.

If the check engine light stays on it means your computer has detected a malfuntion somewhere in the emmission control system. Pull the codes from it and see what they say . Most of the time it either the TPS or trottle control valve that causes this. If you have modified the system this too can trigger the check engine light

the code reads p1102 or something like that. i know it still has something to do with the MAF sensor. can you tell me the proper procedure to do the idle relearn?

thanks.
