02 Maxima headers

I'm looking to get a set of headers on my maxima. I was looking at Cattman and obx. Anyone running these headers? any problems? I'm just looking to do headers and keeping the rest of the exhaust stock. Police in my area dont like modifed exhaust at all. How would just doing headers effect your performance?

Headers should not make it any louder, just smoother flow.Sound is all controlled by your cat and muffler.

Headers will make the car louder. But not too bad. It's best to try to personally hear one if you can. WHen we did mine it sounded more like the sound of a 350z maybe a hint louder.

So you have one tailpipe?

I thought headers only worked well with dual exhaust?

Yep. Only one single tailpipe. The benefits of removing two precats and opening up the exhaust manifold produced 30hp increase in certain areas of my powerband on the dyno. Well worth it.
