02 maxima fuel gauge problem

hi guys im new to the site .. i jus recently bought a 02 max. when i first drove it my tank was on half.. the next day when i started it it showed 3/4 tank... and then after 15 mins of driving it shot down to a little over a quarter ... and my dte is goin um and down the same way... if anyone had this issue and fixed it plz lmk ... i need help thanks

Did it happen during steady-state driving on a flat road (no sudden accel/decel, no sharp turns)? If so, problem lies with fuel level sending unit.
