Swapping pads and rotors is easy... you just have to be careful and aware of any brake wear and/or abs sensors that may be connected...
You should just unbolting the caliper and hanging it up with a coat hanger or bungee cord so that the brake line isn't trying to support the weight of the brake caliper. (make sure the parking brake is off when working on the rear) when you'll swap rotors, bolt the caliper back up (being cautious of any previously stated sensors, and then you'll unbolt the caliper that holds the pads in, pull the old ones out, and drop the new ones in. Making sure that all bolts and clips are in their place and tight.
Make sure when u jack up the car you are using jackstands and wheel chocks! Safety first!
It's a good idea to go to the dealer and shell out $75-100 on a FSM (Factory Service Manual) which shows in detail how to work on all aspects of the car. But if that price is too high, one can always get by on the basics with a Chilton's manual. Other manuals like Haynes are complete crap and only good for fire starting materials.
Good luck and welcome to NICO!
