My '02 came w/ the clear nose cover that includes everything up front. The previous owner must have used a buffer and discolored/scratched the lense covers. Auto Body shop told me just to remove the covers and the lights will look brand new again. Is there a proper way to remove this cover without damaging the glass. The adhesive for the covers is quite strong and im a little cautious to use a razor blade. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Haggis

I THINK you need to bake them. I can think of one forum member that has done this. MCREWS . might want to search his posts or ask

I think she's takling about a 'clear adhesive' stone gaurd that was installed on the lens themsdelf.
If so, it is actually 'kinda easy' . a heat gun works best. or a blow dryer that really blows hot. $ 12 at wallyworld.
the heat will softern the adhesive. start in a corner and heat it until you can start to pull it up. only use your fijngernails. if they not work haeat it some more. DONOT use any kind of 'object' . the lens only come with the entire assembly. $1300

all of the clear adhesive will lift off with heat.

DONOT USE A RAZOR!!!!!!

It is similar to the material used in car wraps. find a utube on the topic and you'll get the idea.
