'02 Frontier V6 engine noise

Just bought a '02 Frontier with a V6 engine that has a slight knocking noise just off idle. Louder when cold, but still there when warm, most prevalent when there's a load on the engine around 1100 rpm. Anybody come across this? I'm a former GM tech. and we had a problem with carbon knocks and camshaft chucking in the '80's on Buick V6's. Wondering if this is a related situation? Want to exhaust cheapest fixes before using my "deductible laden" extended warranty. I understand there's a technical bulletin on this, but can't get the full text of the bulletin online. Anybody?

If you need to order parts, I'm a huge fan of http://www.everythingnissan.com - it's an Infiniti dealership in Scottsdale, AZ - but they sell to everyone at wholsale and have excellent customer service. I would call them at 1-888-216-5328 with the TSB in hand, since you probably won't find that kit in their online store. As for Bill, he is great to work with...

Man, thanks, the bulletin # is exactly what I found online, but was unable to get the full text/procedure for. I'm hoping it's what the noise is that I have, as it's probably a whole lot cheaper than a rod/crank job. Thanks again!

http://www.phatg20.net is a good resource for service manuals as well.
