Hello .. Quick question that may be general and not pertain to just 02q's..My CD changer is jammed.. cannot eject disk changer.. as my daughter put in a 3" disk vertically (obviously slid out of tray).. I can hear the CD trying to change disks.. however nothing happens.. and the display shows "no disk loaded"..there is a small screw in the front of the CD changer.. I dont want to mess w/ things incase this screws things up more..Any suggestions? .. or do I spend the $$ on a stereo shop to do something that might take 5 seconds?..Thanks Dave

What kind of preventative maintenance have you done to CD ANNUALLY?

We just send customer to audio specialty shops and don't mess with CD or radio/sound systems.

Hello. I just removed my CD Changer yesterday, took about 30 minutes, it's not that difficult. I took several pictures during the process. When the changer is out and on the bench, just remove the two mount brackets, then remove eight little screws, the cover will come off in two pieces, like a clam shell. Once opened, the interior is pretty much exposed, I’ll bet the 3” disc will fall out. The changer itself is shock mounted, just re-seat the rubber boots into the sockets and set back in the case. When the changer is out the heppa air filter can be accessed, just open the white plastic door above the blower motor and remove the filter, I blew my filter out with compressed air. The glove box of course has to be removed to get to the changer, see IP-13 in the shop manual. It’s difficult to explain the entire process in this message, but really it’s not hard to do. Contact me at [email protected] for photos (I don’t know how to post a photo on this forum yet, I’m new), I would be glad to discuss over the phone too, just send a number OK. Good luck, Larry.
