I've owned my '02 Maxima for almost 6 years and can't find quality performance parts like headers and intake that don't cost a fortune. All I have found is a Stillen header for almost $1000. I haven't found ECU improvements. And air intakes are some of the most expensive around. Why is this? Am I not looking in the right places? I could use some insight.

Not only that, inexpensive parts = poor performance. Welcome to NICO, you'll find more than enough parts/upgrades that people use here.

Just remember speed and performance do not come cheep. As stated above if you buy cheep, expect to get cheep results. You first need to decide if you are going to go all out and do boost of some sort i.e turbo/supercharger or if you are going to stay N/A. Good luck and let the modding begin.
