01qx4HELP!!! steering wheel shakes makes thumping sound when turning

someone help my steering wheel shakes at normal speeds and when I turn right I hear this thumping sound ..The weird thing is it only happens after i drive the car around for a little while....I got my 01 qx4 and never had a major problem since.... now at 153,000 this comes up....I want this thing to run forever or at least 200k

It could just be sludgy snow built-up causing unbalacne wheels, try to bring it to a car wash with underside cleaning and see if vibration goes away after that.

thats the first thought that came to mind from what i can see I saw no snow build up ....but it's definetly a strange issue because I just took it for a drive and the shaking and the thumping sound disappeared anybody ever have these issues? i'm pretty sure it will comeback.....

that sort of thing happened to me too, does it go away when you brake?

The dealership put on 4 new tires when i bought the car (99 qx4) which they forgot to charge me for, score. and they apparently forgot to tighten the lug nuts to the required amount and the wheel was actually starting to come off. Dunno if thats you problem, but its a thought. You may just need an alignment.

Is the front end original?If it is, I strongly suspect the stabilizer links are shot.Try a search. This subject came up not too long ago. There was a pretty good discussion around this same problem.
