I have a set of QX56 wheels I wanted to install for the winter. I went to a machine shop who measured the opening of the QX56 wheel, it was around 76 Millimeters. He checked some book (didn't pull my wheel) and came back stating that the QX4 opening is 101 Millimeters and he wouldn't suggest boring that much material out. The new hole would be really close to the log nut holes based on this measurement.

I left with my wheels but then thought this measurement didn't make sense because if the new bored hole was that big any QX4 wheels would have openings that were close to the lug nut holes.

Can anyone tell me what the the correct size of the opening should be offhand or know of a resource online that would have the size? Yes, I could go take a wheel off and try and measure it myself but I couldn't possibly do that until next weekend.

I think I have confirmed it from another post here @ zerothread?id=349915

Quote »"like everyone said you'll have to make the center bore a little bigger...should cost like 50-75 each wheels....the qx4 center bore is 108 and the qx56 center bore is 77.8...good luck and i think its looks really nice with those wheels..i wish the 20 inch fx wheels fit our trucks but there 5 lug.."[/quote]This a lot to bore out then like the guy said. How safe are they at this point when you bore that much material out?

Thanks for the message, I hate to have to do something else considering I got these for about $325 total from a used tire shop on eBay. I see the regular QX4 wheels for $125 scratched up to $200 clean each.

Anyone else?
