I have a set of QX56 wheels I wanted to install for the winter. I went to a machine shop who measured the opening of the QX56 wheel, it was around 76 Millimeters. He checked some book (didn't pull my wheel) and came back stating that the QX4 opening is 101 Millimeters and he wouldn't suggest boring that much material out. The new hole would be really close to the log nut holes based on this measurement.
I left with my wheels but then thought this measurement didn't make sense because if the new bored hole was that big any QX4 wheels would have openings that were close to the lug nut holes.
Can anyone tell me what the the correct size of the opening should be offhand or know of a resource online that would have the size? Yes, I could go take a wheel off and try and measure it myself but I couldn't possibly do that until next weekend.
