01 QX4 Stock Navigation Upgrade

I searched and only found one thread from 2004 with someone trying to do this, and it was never completed. I'm looking to install a stock navigation system into my non-navi QX4. (my stock 6 disc just makes a gargling noise)

Someone working at a nissan dealership that was on the board said they there were probably the plugs for the navi taped to the stock wiring harness, and that you would need the A/C amp for the navi version too, but that all the plugs and such should be there, because there is only 1 main dash harness whether you had stock navi or not.

I'm figuring there must have been someone who has done this by now if it's that easy? I'd rather use the stock unit because I like how it incorporates the climate control into the navi system aswell.
