01 qx4 performance modifications

hello all.

I want to increase the performance of my 2001 qx4.

Will adding a K& N cold air intake and a performance muffler (magnaflow, stillen, flowmaster, aero) increase hp and torque without damaging the engine in any way ?

It will not mess up the back pressure, ecm chip or mass air flow will it?

Will getting a ecm upgrade increase performance also?

The only question I can answer for you is regarding the K&N filter damaging other components. It is quite common to see an over-oiled K&N filter gunk up our Nissan MAF sensors. That is really the only problem with the intake.

I actually have a frankencar intake in my Pathy, which came with a Apexi cone which is a dry filter aka no oil at all. There was a noticeable increase in power.
