'01 Qx4:locking Differential???

hi,

I know the AWD/4WD system in my QX4 is switch operated but I like to know if I have a locking differential and if yes then which; front/centre/rear??? thanks

the only one would be the rear. thats if you are referring to LSD. the auto is like awd vehicles it switches form front to rear. basically where ever it thinks it needs traction it sends it to those wheels. but the fron is a 2 pinion diff and the rear could be either a 2 pinion or LSD look for a small label on the diff housing indicating it.
