01 QX4 Heated Seats
01 QX4 Heated Seats
I have an 01 QX4 that has 2 empty slots (actually blank tabs) where the heated seats buttons (2) would go on the center console below the ashtray. My question is this, what do I need to do to get this feature functioning? are the seats prewired with element and plug and play with new switch or do I have to buy the whole wiring harness and element and install into seat?? Please help, it's getting cold.

It should be prewired (even have the fuse already in the slot for it) but the seats do not have the heating elements in them. All you need to get it working is a pair of heated seats and the switches and you're on fire.

Thanks, so I have to get new seats? The OG ones will not convert?

Well it would be a major pain to put the heating elements inside the seats. It would probably be cheaper to just get seats that come heated from a wrecking yard.

a lot of cars in the hotter states dont have the "winter package"...i live in NY and almost all the qx4's have headed seats but when i went to CALI i saw a lot that didnt....also almost all the trucks here are 4x4 like blazers, expeditions, explores, and so on but over in CALI you have the choice to get it..
