01 Pathfinder throwing P1145

Hello everyone, new guy, new owner of an 01 Pathfinder.. Had it 6 weeks and the SES light came on. I took it to my local mechanic. He hooked up a code reader and it threw a P1145.

I've been reading these forums on this and now I'm confused. Is the problem a sensor or a solenoid or both? I can change the parts if I know exactly where it's at on the engine.

I've read that P1145 is on the drivers side, forward but, I don't know if it installs from the front or at an angle on the cam.

Plenty of chatter on the sensor but not a lot on the solenoid i.e. part numbers..

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

About 90% of the time, the problem is within the sensor. I would start with the sensor and then go from there if need be.
