01 Pathfinder Shiftlock solenoid

When the truck is on and the brake pedal is pressed, I hear the solenoid clicking every time, but it is not pulling the plastic locking piece out of the way so that I can shift it out of park. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried spraying WD40 and that helped for a little while, but now it does not help at all.

When I had the shifter cover off to take a look, if i hold the brake down long enough sometimes it will still unlock the shifter, and even sometimes after it has unlocked and with my foot still on the brake, it locks up again. Any ideas?
