poped a code a few weeks back and took it to autozone to read the code.... 1320I was told it just could be bad gas or a fouled injector. I followed the advice to try fuel injection cleaner. two cans and 20 gal. of gas later the light is back and the same code (1320). New advice from a different person (mechanic)...... A can of Seafoam through a vacuum line to really clean things up and change the plugs. Here is the problem:1. I am worried about doing damage by unloading a whole can of seafoam through the vacuum line.2. Without a manual I can't see the plugs and therefore can't get to them.

I have done plugs and wires, cap and rotor stuff to older model cars but this is a bit puzzling. Can anyone help with advice or a bookmark to a diagram?I ordered a Haynes book that will be on its way next week and will be helpful with testing the coils which I think may be the next step.

Any help will be appreciated.

How many miles? How is it running? Is it missing?I would check the vaccum lines to see if they have been rubbing something or if they are dry rotted or just replace them since they are cheap.

I have been told that I need to replace all 6 coils to fix the problem. Anyone want to chime in on this? Where is the best deal on oem coils? Any help appreciated.

the only reason you were told to replace all 6 coils was because there is no way of tellin which one is actually bad. you have to find the one while it is misfiring. its the only way

dont all 6 cylinders take the same coil pack? if so you can just buy 1 and put it on a random cylinder, keep moving the new one from plug to plug til it fixes the problem. might get a bit time consuming but if its for sure a coil pack, thats gonna be the cheapest way to find the bad one.

They are all the same except #1 cyl. The car itself isn't running bad so my plan is to run it till i fire a cyl. code or need an inspection in 6 mos. In this case I am hoping that the cyl. misfire shows itself before i need an inspection and have to take drastic measures to replace all 6.

I went through this about 6 months ago. You probably are not going to get a specific cylinder code. My Pathfinder never gave the specific cylinder. I finally just replaced 5 out of the 6 coils (couldn't get to the last one closest to the driver without ripping out a bunch of crap). You could test them by pulling each one and verifying voltage but the hard part about that is you have to disconnect them to get them out and most of the wires won't reach without cutting the retaining clips.etc...

If you wait too long with misfires you are going to gum up the catalytic converter and spark plugs. You will have to pull the coils to replace the plugs anyway. Replacing the coils fixed my problem.

i'm having the same problem as everybody else in here. i tested the coils after just running it and also after it has been sitting overnight and i get the same reading on all the coils. no big variances between any of them. i have replaced the plugs as well and that kind of work after 100 miles only. Now I still have the same problem with a code p1320 and P0300 and I have followed the service manual step by step. I have even checked the fuel filter just in case it was clogged but its not. Dont know what else it could be. I dont want to replace all the coils unless I know for sure that it is the culprit. anybody else have any advise? HELP

I waited till I had a specific coil misfire code then changed the failed coil. If you do not have the patience and have the $ to burn, by all means go for it and change them all. If you want to play roulette with 5 coils just buy one and replace it... if it doesn't work you know you had the wrong coil...move to the next. Good luck.

i did that and it ended up breaking more things. If i were u i would save yourself more money in the long run by just replacing all coils. My maf went bad and then all driver side o2 sensor went bad, MY cat was close to failing. THats a total of 1k of stuff that could go wrong with yours if u "wait"

p1320 should be followed by a p030x code(the x being the cyl that is misfiring) if not to figure out witch cyl, run the car and start disconnecting the coils one by one. watch the engine , when you dis. a good coil the motor will run worse. the problem coil is the one that doesn't change the way the car is running when it is disconnected.
