01 Pathfinder idles, drives, and starts fine. The problem starts @ around 2000rpm. Engine tach won't exceed 2000 rpm. Once it does it'll start to stall and it sounds like it's sucking way too much air. PCV valve, swirl control valve, and the fuel filter have all been replaced. Can any one help me please solve this mystery??????

Sounds like the engine is in "safety mode". Try cleaning the MAF?

Yeah, I would try cleaning the MAF as suggested and then check for any vacuum leaks.

What do you mean when you say the swirl control valve was replaced? Also, I'm assuming you started having all of these issues after the PCV valve and swirl valves were serviced?

the swirl control valve is located on the bottom of the upper intake manifold. It's easily accessed when the intake air duct is removed. And no, the problem was already existent. Those were just some suggestions that I was told.

disconnect the maf and see if it goes worst.... (which it should).... if it does not, then your maf is acting like it was unplugged (or dead/damaged)...
