01 pathfinder liftgate won't open

recently my pathy lift gate stopped working. It does not make the loud noise anymore when i use the key less fob either? Any body have any ideas? Please help. Thanks.

Have you tried unlocking it with the key?

Maybe you wore it out and you'll have to replace the mechanism. If you unlock it with they key and it won't open, then that's probably true.
