'01 Maxima w/ Bose - Subwoofer cuts out

Well I just bought my Maxima three days ago and I noticed last night that the bass cuts in and out. It'll work for about 30 seconds, randomly cut out, and come back on a couple of minutes later. I talked to Car Toys and they told me I had to replace pretty much everything (screw those guys) and I talked to Circuit City and they think it's the amp. I took the amp out and now none of my speakers work... I thought that they were individually amped but I guess not. Anybody have an idea? I'm hoping I don't have to buy a new Bose amp because I know that it's gonna be ridiculous.
