01 i30 problem with stock sub

The sub goes on and off.it will work for maybe 5 seconds then stop for a minute then work for another 5 seconds.When i go in the trunk,if i push up on the sub and apply some pressure it starts to work but only when i have the pressure applied.Any ideas what can be the problem.
