i have had horrible gas issues with my car around 300 miles to a tank mostly freeway driving. i have tried all types of solutions, tune-up, different grade gas, new spark plugs, new air filter, pretty much everything but a new fuel filter. now i have read that these cars dont need to have the fuel filter replaced, my friend who is a mechanic said i should look in to replacing it, does anyone think this will help. just to note i have 245/35/19 tires on 3 piece lexani rims that are kinda heavy but i have been told this shouldnt make that much of a difference and my alignment is off a little bit but nothing major. (they cant align my car some issssue with the control arm, i need a new one)

Logic dictates that a fresh fuel filter would flow better{more} than a partially clogged old one...so how could a new filter possibly cause you to use LESS gas?

Fuel filter should be changed as part of preventative maintenance, but if you expect to gain MPG from doing so,you will be quite disappointed

Heavy khrome rimz will hurt MPG, along with accelerating wear to drivetrain, hurt acceleration and increase braking distance, and draw the attention of the DEA.

Alignment issues also can affect mpg,as you are causing tires to scrub sideways as they rotate
