recently got a 01 g20 with auto climate control.

Problem= blower works intermittently, not just one speed (symptom of bad resistor) but all speeds, nothing. It will come back on after awhile, and work as normal.

Would this be a bad fan control amp?? or bad connection somewhere?? any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the typical synptoms of fan motor wearing out, the brushes are worn down to almost nothing left making intermittant contact..imple to remove motor and chech brush length and condition...clean evaporator core face of all dirt/leaves/debris while you got it all opened up to increase a/c cooling performance.

Brushes are on other end of motor{may need to pry the top off} sure looks like alot of that dust in picture may be the worn brush material.

try testing it by putting 12 volts to the 2 terminals on the motor and see if it spins

Thats how they fail.....sometimes it works, sometimes not,eventually it will just stop working all together{ thats exactly how mine acted on my Q, and upon disassembly the brushes were worn down to where they no longer made contact}

Start shopping for a new motor or motor repair shop now{mine failed in a cold winter and was difficult to drive when you cant defog/defrost the windshield} a painful job to tackle in freezing weather!!
