Hi 1st like to thank in advance noob to site, and just traded in my 95 Max for 2001, 20th ann edtion maxima.. And im going to save this beautiful CAR! try at least if dont break the bank 1st!

this car has been beatin for 4 or 5 years! country car! and i dont think it seen the service station to offten. I've had it a week and had complete brakes jobs done EVERY THING new mosta of the suspention, exaust and tune up. $3000. worth. and still running poorly under high load. work great if i baby the pedal, but if i need to get moving it boogs OUT real bad and knocks when shifting in 2nd.(not trany, had it looked at been rebuilt not long ago)i do believe its the Coils from the research i've done, and from what the machanic told me, $600 Can from the shop it was to rich to gamble on, but im looking into getting set of 6 off ebay!

fixed!!! FUSE box HAD LOSE WIRE ! pushed into place, every thing works!!and the othe issue i have is a real pain in the ***! No Security, keyless entry/power locks and dome light.(power locks work if i have keys in and turn to ACC) and this was working, for the 1st few days. not sure what i did but i tried to change map light bulb and damn clip holding bulb in broke. i fixed it place bulb in and nothing! and in the same hour i tried with no luck to set my keyless entry key tag. NO good! this is when i noticed that i lost my power locks! fixed!!! FUSE box HAD LOSE WIRE ! pushed into place, every thing works!!

For the dome light and lock issues, it's best to start small.Make sure you didn't blow any fuses (might have happened while you were replacing the bulb and broke the clip).

well i havn't checked any of the fuses under hood but the ones in the car are all good! that would be to easy lol

I had the same problem with the locks/dome light/trunk pop.It was the Smart Entrance Control Module. I have a thread here looking for one, and it shows where this is located. I didn't have to do any diagnostic tests to find this one, I took the board out and one side of it was burned out. I guess it got damp and burned out on start-up or something. It was also draining my battery until I re-wired some of the relay's to bypass the bad part of the board. Now my dome light & trunk pop don't work.

Here is the thread, it might help. I hope this is not the problem, $592 CAD at the dealer, so finding one parted-out would be best.....zerothread/271032

Hey thanks i will check into that when wife gets home with my RIDE! i've noticed few more power problems, sure it all cause by the same thing... need my key in and turned over for my headlights to turn on too... Thanks for the help! from, Nova Scotia Guy lol
