Whats going on ladies and gents? I'm from the 240sx forum and am in search of a daily driver/weekend hauler. Needless to say the Frontier has caught my eye. I was looking into the supercharged '01 - '05 models. Not really sure when they started to make the SC version, as I've just started looking, but thats the body style I'm after. I need something that I can take the girlfriend around in(ie: ac, quiet, etc.). My 240 has outgrown its welcome there. It has the SR, coilovers, exhaust, etc...put it this way its more fun for me then her. Plus I need something to haul parts and tow a jet ski. Not to mention you seem to be able to find a decent SC Frontier for under $20k. From what I've read thus far the n/a V6's don't seem to pack a lot. Just looking to see what you guys think of your trucks and what I should look out for, maybe some of the problems that come along with these trucks. Meanwhile I'll keep searching. Anything is appreciated. Thanks.

Well you're going to be looking for an 01-04. They redesigned the Frontiers for the 2005 model year (and I have one, and they're great). I don't think there was any model year overlap, but I could be wrong.

Yea I found that out last night. I went to a local dealer browsing. I was really looking for the 01-04 model but ended up test driving the '05 it was really nice and pretty big as well. The only problem was the price. I was looking at getting crew cab with 4wd and it doesnt seem you can get into that for less than 25k. That really out of my budget, not to mention that for 3k more you could have a titan. Who knows maybe its a marketing scheme to get you int the bigger trucks.

I think it is. I walked in to my Nissan dealer *honestly* looking for a USED 4x4 Xterra with less than 50-60k mi on it. I walked out with a brand new 05 Frontier King Cab 4x4.

Damn Nissan.

Tell me though are you really happy with it, so far I mean? I'm stratin school like stated above(or should be) and I need something reliable that I'm not going to work on for a while. It's just... 25k is a lot of money.

Its under warranty, you wouldnt have to touch it for at LEAST 36k miles or 3 yrs. And even then the power train is still covered till 60k.
