I recently bought a 2000 pathfinder. the truck has 140k on it. the mil was on when I bought it, and upon driving it home it started to stall out at idle. I got it home and scanned it and the only code it threw was p0335. I bought a new crank position sensor and installed it. now the vehicle starts right away and runs great until it starts to warm up, it then starts to stall out and die. the mil has not come back on and it will continue to run if I hold the rpms anything higher than idle. I was wondering if there are any common things with these trucks that would cause this? thanks in advance for any help

maybe it can't remember the idle speed? Very odd. I know mitsubishi's will do that until you rev the engine for a while until it "learns" what the idling speed should be.

Try revving it with your hands a few times to see if that works.

without any check engine light being on I decided to just have it towed to the dealer. It ended up being a distributor. it runs great now! i think I am going to enjoy driving this thing. it is a nice break away from driving my wrx.

yeah it was the distributor. I didn't think that it would have been the problem, the cap and rotor looked brand new. I just bought the thing so I don't know exactly everything done on it but I drove it more last night and it still is running perfectly with 145k on it. this thing is very clean as well NO RUST at all.
