00 maxima TPS question

I have a 2000 maxima and I am wondering if the throttle position sensor is a serviceable item or does it need to only be replaced? The idle on my car is fluctuating slightly so I am thinking of cleaning it. I dont know if its related but about a month ago when temps were at -30c here I had to get a boost when car wouldnt start and used a bit of ether spray. About 2 weeks after I noticed a very very slight idle fluctuation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
