'00 I30 TRUNK POPS OPEN WHILE DRIVING-WTF?

My wife's '00 I30 has had the trunk popping open while driving it several times. We used the latch in the trunk that disables the driver's door switch from opening the door but that's only a workaround. Has anyone found the solution?

I avoid going to a dealer like the plague. If I have to go in, I want to know in advance exactly what must be done.

There is a TSB 614043 for this problem on the '99 I30 but I couldn't find any details on what the solution is. I could only find that the problem exists and what the number is. Does the TSB describe what the fix is, and if so, does anyone know how I can get that information short of going to my dealer?



btw: tried searching the archives under things like: trunk, open, driving-no luck.
