OK so I changed the front rotors and not the pads because they looked decent. I went about driving around the yard pumping the brakes to get pressure back, as this is all I have ever needed to do before.

Well I couldn't get pressure back and tried to bleed my brakes in every possible way. Somewhere along the line there was a thick substance in an open DOT 3 container that I'm worried got into the brake lines.

I have cleaned the master cylinder with gas in order to cut through the thick substance. Tried to bleed again and still can't get any fluid bleed out of the front brakes.

I don't know what to do next. Is there some way to clena the brake lines out? Or am I on the wrong path?

With any open brake fluid container the brake fluid should be discarded because of water Absorption.Dont know how to solve your problem, if you have a blocked brake line you may have to replace it or make a fitting to blow it out with compressed air.
