yeah so i bought a 90 S13, and the guy had over heating problems, so instead of changing the thermo or checking stuff he ripped out the KA-E and tossed in a KA-DE lol. (turned out to be the thermostat lol) im lucky i guess, it runs strong but he never wired up the rpm gauge. i dont need it, but i would love to have it. anyone know how to go about this? i wanna see that needle jump!

Get a DOHC tach.

you need to put in the dohc gauge cluster and it will work

single cam signal is positive and dual cam signal is negative. ( i could have it reversed but still...)

so you have to get a dohc cluster for it to work on your sohc chassic because the signal is diffrent.

I've got something wierd. I have a dual cam with a single cam cluster and it works. I was surprised when I bought the car. It also used to be hud because the dash has the hole in it. My cluster goes up by 15 25 35 45 65 and so on just like a single cam one.

But what is the tach redline? You can swap JUST the tach, I did it when I did my SR swap. My speedo goes to 115mph, my tach redlines at 7k.

Holy crap. I've never seen one go for more than 35 bucks down here. And that's for a digital one. My digital one was 25 and my analog one was 20.
