0-60 TIMES

i have a 1992 240sx(auto trans.)(stock engine ka) with about 117000 miles on the engine.....ive been getting about 9.5 sec. for 0-60 with overdrive off....with overdrive on its even higher.....does this mean im losing power? what do you guys get?

when i floor it from completely stopped the engine hesitates for about half a second then all of a sudden it finally jolts forward....i dont think it should be doing this...any ideas...

i dont know i have a stick, i dont know what would cause that, might be something with the transmission, or something to do with it, but from what i recall an auto s13 new ran 0-60 in like 8.5-9.0 seconds

Could be your injectors, catalytic conv., plugs, vacuum leak, plug wires, MAFS, accelerator resistance node, and a few others things but those are the main things that could be causing it. If you have the patience to look into them go for it, you'll find the problem with one of them im sure of it, I had the same problem. Those are the sort of things that can cause it, except I had it about 20x worse on my s13 (93) 167k mile engine.

I don't know much about the auto's but R&T did a test back in the early 90's and came out with a 0-60 in 7.9 sec. Something seems wrong for that much of a difference, I'd suggest a good tuneup inc. seafoam.

true o-60 7.9 it really shouldnt be 9 sec
