0-60 MPH numbers for Infiniti cars

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

EX35 RWD - 5.7 - 5.8 Seconds (5.5 Seconds on the Canadian video test)

Recently a reputable French Canadian auto show called RPM test drove the Ex35 against the X3 and RDX, and let me tell you that the competition just bit the dust. They manage to get 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds! for that complete video review, here is the thread :http://www.tqs.ca/emissions/rpm/2008/in ... -66.phpP.S. I have to tell you that the video is in french... but I think you can still get the essentialsThanks

Oh yeah, I saw that 5.5 seconds ... amazing !

It makes sense. Because the EX35 RWD is just as heavy as the G37 AWD, same engine.

Wish my AWD JOURNEY could run 5.8 sec 0-60...

Oh well! It`s still the best in snow driving!

Do you guys know the weight of the stock 17" rims with stock tires?

I have an aftermarket rims that only weighs 17.5 Ibs each. Do you think

this will improve my 0-60 time? My EX35 journey is the base journey-

no bling bling....I wonder if mine is a bit lighter than the journey with

packages. -- All I have is a leather seat, autodim/compass mirror. No rails

either.

I really want an AWD that is lighter and this is the lightest I could get.

You don't need to understand French. Just watch the video and they will flash the 0-60mph run (0-100 kph) ... EX35 goes head to head with Lexus' Lexus IS's bigger engine (IS 350). And is not far behind Audi R8's $120,000 car (4.7 seconds).

EX35 (clocked at 5.5 seconds)

Actually, 100 km/h is about 62.5 mph so based on those figures, you can interpolate a slightly faster 0-60 mph time.

And it appears that the test run was done with a passenger too!! That would make the driver only times faster still!!

Also the model tested is AWD.Do you think that the test drive was on "D"or "DS" mode? would the mode selection make a difference on the 0-60?

Did they say that it was AWD ? Didn't really understand the French dialog. And I thought it was RWD.

The test on the AWD was 6.2 sec with U.S. car magazine (Car and Driver) and 5.8 sec. on the RWD (Motortrend). But maybe after the 'break in' period, it goes faster...

Assume it was AWD as that is the only configuration we get in snowy Canada.

Then they probably maxed out RPM on the "DS" mode ... and made the AWD Ex35 screamed to 5.5 seconds.

So theoretically, the RWD could max out at 5.2-5.3 seconds if the AWD cand 5.5 ???? Oh uh .. that's baddassss!

You know, this is nice information for the few guys out there, that drive EX35's full-time.

For the rest of the Drivers out there, the Females, do you think any of them drive the Crap out of their Cars in efforts to achieve a 0-60 time of 5-6 Seconds ?

I don't think so.

Have fun with my reply !

I wouldn't put too much credence in some of these journalist tests unless it's something like Road & Track using professional timing equipment and consistent procedures. I could hop in my EX35 with a stopwatch and give you another number. For those asking for a translation from the french I will give you the condensed version: Tres bien =very good. Incredible=incredible. -French lesson complete.

We can all agree that it is wicked fast for a "personal-luxury-sport-utility-crossover-hatchback-vehicle."

According to my BUTT`O Meter, my EX35 AWD is a bit slower 0 to 60 than

my 2008 Toyota Rav4 V6 awd Sport. The only difference bet. the two is

that the EX35 breathes a lot better on the highway which means, more

highend power. But, the RAV4 V6 is quick from dead stop....It`s only

3,650 IBS.

Motortrend puts it at 5.8 seconds.

And Motortrend is a well established magazine.

After a car's engine gets broken in, it's suppose to go faster.

So, 5.5 seconds is not far behind.

It's rated as the top 10 fastest sports utility vehicle. So this number is realistic.

My 2wd has gotten a little bit faster now that it has over 10K. It is also noticeably faster with 1/4 of a tank of gas. Which is about 90-95lbs less than a full 20 gallons. So I would expect the fastest 0-60 times aren't with a full tank of gas.
