I agree, I blocked my egr with some thermostat paper-like gasket whenever I swapped my KA...It blew a month ago so I have to replace it with a metal plate.Did that while the motor is in the car...Oh man... what a pain... took me a good 3 hours since I have to take off my intake manifold just to replace that one piece and I dont have swivel joint(sp?).Drift Machine wrote:Yeah I wouldn't even want to try and deal with that task while the motor was in the car.
Only need to do that if you have a Cali ECU. Federal ECUs don't have EGR temp sensors.bruinbear714 wrote:unplug the egr temp sensor, and put a 100k resistor into the ecu end of the plug. No check engine light.
