Keep an eye on ebay. Just a hint, mispell Infiniti (Infinity) and you can sometimes find them really cheap. I think this website has them as well:

welcome to the one and only best resource for Q stuff

Contact Joe @ Everything Infiniti....there is a banner advertisement on this website for them. He works for a dealer in Arizona and is very helpful and knowledgable about the Q. Mention NICO and you also get a huge 20%+ discount on OEM parts.

I understand your frustration about the dealers being of no help...

There is just about all the information you need here on the forums....take some time and do a search. You will find what you need.

For the remote....buy one off of ebay. Ask your dealer or Joe to lookup you VIN# to give you the FCC ID# which identifies which remotes work for your car (not the actual code as my dealer originally thought so) then got to ebay and buy one or two for about $30 bucks....then do a search on NICO and find the instructions on the programing.

..... Or you can ask me and I will enlighten you.

Type in Q45 remote and see what you get on ebay. There always ones for like $20... They are universal for the J30, Q45, G20, etc.

The FCC code is AZ.......073. Thats all you gotta know, as long as its got AZ in the front, 073 in the end, and is an infiniti remote (says infiniti at the bottom) your golden...

There is another FCC code, az.....078 that I am pretty sure works, but not 100%.

When you get it, it will come with programming instructions, or I will post them. Its really easy.

Ok screw that Ill just post them now!

Open trunk, get in car, lock doors. Insert key in and out all the way in the ignition at least 10 times within 10 seconds. Using the drivers side lock latch, unlock and lock the door, then within 5 seconds press the lock button (big grey one on the top of the remote). The flashers will blink twice.

After that your golden.... Joe's number is 1888-216-5328.

And to think, Im certainly not a freak for knowing all this stuff off the top of my head, am I??? :D

Shouldn't the Fcc # start with A2....073. Not AZ? Just want to make sure.

Thanks for checking. I found these guys who sell an Infinity one. It sounds like they make them although I find it hard to believe. Anyone have any exprienc with them? For $60.00 the price is right if they are new and work.

hal90000....that pic of the remote looks like a used remote. The markings are all rubbed off and there are scratches all over the casings. buy from ebay $30...I bought 2 and worked fine....both used but in good condition...about $30 each
