Hey everyone!

So i recently moved to Dallas and purchased a 240. I am new to the 240 scene but so far i am loving it. I have a 96 240sx w/ black top VCT (nissan's vtec) SR20DET engine. It's bored .02 mm over. Eagle rods and CP pistons.... umm thats just the basic rundown of the things that are on it but there is more. (Sorry for the breif summary) I also have a GT35R kit on it, G35 wheels powder coated black, and the side skirts and rear bumper are molded to the body. But basically i just wanted to get on here and say hey to everyone and if your in the DFW area hit me up! I need some gearhead buddies. O and here are some pics.

Hope you guys like

WelcomeSweet motor setup.Hmm at least change the front bumper, that kit isn't so friendly to the eyes.

This engine is froma 95-98 s14. And it has nissan's version of variable valve timing. I think Nissan actually calls it VTC. Sorry.

nice car, but your body is out of proportion judging from what i see, your sideskirts are molded on. and your rear bumper.im sorry the previous owner f***ed up on that part, but it can still be saved.that kit was clearly pieced together, and looks like s*** on the same car.theirs a reason why companies sell kits as: 1front bumper, 2Sideskirts, and 1 rear bumper.. because they flow well together and were most likely made at the same time.

aside from the horrid body.your motor setup looks pretty impressive, id expect to see 350-400 out of your setup, and 300hp in a 240 is pretty dam quick!hows boost response with that big ole turbo(big for a 4banger)

Yeah i agree on the front bumper and side skirts. The rear bumper is not too bad. I like simple and thats what the rear is lol. And well as far as horsepower i am at about the 370 range. I am currently pushing 15psi. And well as far as bost response it doesnt fully kick in until bout 3800-4000 but when it does o man is it ridiculous. I have been thinking about do a GT30 though. I am just not sure where i plan on going with this car. But as far as the current turbo i think all i need is cams and larger injectors and i can start getting over 400hp.

Nice S14 but keep that whole VTEC thing on the downlow it makes you sound like a total noob. Its actually the opposite of VTEC. Nissans kicks in at low RPMs where VTEC kicks in at high RPMs.

And am i reading that correctly that its a T-78?!?!?

its not called vtec..it is called VVl and that is way better then vtec jus open the intake..suppose to VVl opens the intake and Exhaust alot longer than sh*tty vtec.

Well welcome to Nico! One of the best places on earth to get away from everyday life. Like the car and the engine you got. I'm pretty sure that everybody else gave all the advices that I was going to give you so no need for me to repeat it. Anyways, good luck with your new baby. Treat her right. She's a beauty!
