It is a 5 speed that came with cloth seats. I removed the cloth seats and put in a set of 99 maxima black leather. The previous owner was a salesman who worked for the company that special ordered it new. He is supposedly the only one who drove it until I bought it. Any maintence he had done was paid for by the company he worked for, so he kept it in top shape. When he retired from the company they gave it to him as a retirement gift. The front left fog light was removed by vandals when it sat in front of his house. The reason why i switched the seats was due to the fact that he was a rather large man and had broken the drivers side seat frame where it bolts in. I have used the fsm courtsey of NICO and have reset the Airbag light. the remaining light that is left on is the abs due to a front right abs sensor that the wires were pulled out of. Anyway here are the pics, sorry it took so long to post pics. Oh yeah that is my pearl white J30 in the background, 178,000 miles on that one.

Why isn't the leather shredded to bits? What did you use to care for it? That's amazing!

I replaced the seats out of a 99 maxima because the previous owner broke the seat frame where it bolts in. He was rather heavy. lol . I pulled the leather seats from a junkyard for $85. couldn't pass that price up. Good old U Pick It. Notice the door panels. That was the color of the cloth seats that I took out. I wanted to swap out the door panels with the black leather maxima one, however the junk yard looked it up on their interchanger and said that they wouldnt fit. Also if anyone has access to a free carfax so I can verify the mileage I would appreciate it.Modified by wariodude at 3:26 PM 3/13/2010

Original drivetrain. Previous owner stated that the motor and transmission have never been rebuilt.

Yeah, the 5-speed is rock solid, so I'm not surprised there. If it was an auto it'd be on trans #3 by now.

When I put it on I just liked it a lil better that way. lol The old one was missing the leather cover and my friend gave it to me for $5 still in the package.

I still have the original seats. Anyone want them? They are in real good condition, except for the broken frame on the drivers seat,(where in bolts on). The cushions are all near perfect, except for the drivers seat has moderate wear. Looks like the rear seats have never been sit in. Should also fit 95-99 maxima also. I want them gone.

I just really like infiniti's and got one heck of a deal on it. This coming week I am going to take it to the local Infiniti dealer here in Kansas City. I look at it as an investment. I have a friend that bought a Nissan Sentra new about 16 years ago and he now has nearly 300k on it. The dealer said that when he gets to 300k they will give him a bunch of promo stuff and also $10,000 off of a new Nissan. I want to see what they will offer me on this one. lol I don't know if they are B.S.ing him or what but I could use 10k-15k off of a new G37

Well in Jordan when I travled over there they get 700,000 km on the average Nissan Sunny Taxi they are the most common car to see for a Taxi and the doors don't literally fall off like the Corolla. Every Corolla had the pillars beefed up because of it.

Of course they never look this like this one.

So it doesn't surprise me to see a Nissan doing this kinda millage.

I've also seen Nissan D21 pickups at auctions with 900,000 miles numerous times and a few Frontiers with 300k-400k back when I was looking for a 4x4 pickup.

Also seen the early 90s accords do this kinda milliege. And a large number of Maximas 95-99 in this ball park.

I like that generation. Simple, functional, and clean. The one that followed was not so great.

I think they are individually controller water nozzles for spraying others in traffic.

That look like parking lights.

R.I.P..... my car is dead, never made it to 500,000 miles. Was driving to work in the middle of the night and hit a guy parked sideways in the middle of the interstate. No lights on or anything. He was sitting there arguing with his drunk girlfriend. I was amazed how well the car saved my life. The whole engine compartment was practically gone, lucky I lived. Definitely will keep my eyes out for another 5 speed I30, but they are next to impossible to find.

That's sad to hear man. At least you're alive and able to possibly take another one to that mileage. In relation to my post in this thread, my dad's Sunny caught fire and burned to a crisp about two years ago. Never did get to ask him how many miles it had.
