im guessing the wiring on the starter isnt connected right or something???

1)volts turn on lights and accessories, amps is what turns the starter to turn motor2)do you get a sound at all when you turn the key? as in, the usual starter click. is it 1 click or a series of it.3)check the neutral safety switch. If it is bad then it won't let the car start. Go get one from a part store for the KA set.

Also, was the car originally an auto or a manual?

Check your grounds. For your engine to crank you need very few things.1) Battery2) STarter3) Wiring4) ground

If you do not hear the "click" that means your relay is not being told to activate. Which in turn does not complete the circuit at the starter, so your starter does not get the juice to start. So check your wiring..... Check your grounds, You can also try whats on page EL-31 ...of the FSM

Okay so i didny notice this (damn neighbors) but everytime i try to crank it i hear one click comming from the driver footwell fusebox area.

Whats that mean???

And also i have a one of those light bulb tester to see if current runs through and so i put them on both wires that run current through them when u crank and the bulb lighted up on both wires so im not sure if that matters but just throwin it out there

that click is the relay...that means its telling the starter to get a move on.If your starter isnt moving its cause it cant complete the circuit.2 reasons1. Bad starter2. Bad wiring.Check your grounds.

Okay so i think it might be bad wiring honestly because the guy who owned it before thought it would be cool to scramble n splice unnecesary wires and stuff.

Well i wonder if this has anything to do with it being an SR swap and i read other threads about cutting and splicing wires and jumping em.

I think it would be that honestly because arent the reverse lights suppost to turn on when you put it in reverse even in the on position???

dude...sounds like you need to send your harness to wiring specialties and let them figure it out.Or start checking connectivity from pin to plug for your harness. Can you make the alternator turn?

so did you even jump the wires for the neutral safety switch. if not its a plug on the bottom of the fuse box on passengers side engine bay. the wires are black/yellow and black/white.

for the black/yellow and black/white you just cut the plug off and connect those two wires together.
