Insane how big the largest things are and how small the smallest things are. Also I wasn't aware of the "scale" string theory took place at...

I love stuff like this. Any one else feel the same?

Yep, I do!

Edit: Im still curious about that whole "estimated size of the universe is 930 Ym" and how that is figured...considering that about 140 Ym is only observable...how do we know it's not something like 250,000,000,000 Ym or just infinite? ( I know it has to do with the time it takes for light to travel and blah, blah, blah, etc....)

..there's some food for thought.

It is partially based on temperature, cooling, residual radiation and rate of expansion. We think we understand how and when the universe began forming, so from there, according to current temperatures, we can determine how much expansion (thus size) is needed to have cooled to the current point. There's of course a lot more to it than that, but that's one of the methods used. Another is light as you say. Another has to do with which elements are prevalent since we know certain elements can only have begun to be produced in large quantities after certain stages of universal formation.

Yeah, it was kinda cool, but...

There are tons of HUGE GLARING mathematical, numerical and relative sizing errors in that demonstration.

Its all very interesting, but why does MAN feel the need to find an explanation for EVERYTHING. The universe is a beautiful place, and we all have our questions, but sometimes its just nice to look up and admire it. Its like trying to figure out why pu**y feels so good. It just does, so sit back relax and enjoy it

You know that TV and movies that you enjoy? How about that car you drive? Or maybe the microwave you cook your food in and the computer you're typing on?

Yeah, they all came about because of man's need to explain everything. Your point is lost.

I dont see how can lose a point I wasnt trying to make. I was talking about explaining things that already exist or unknown (like the universe), not the ability to invent things that are useful.

Understanding does not preclude admiration.

I am just as baffled by people who DO NOT have a desire to find an explanation for everything.

I love you MoD.

Also I looked into the whole visible universe VS actual universe size and I couldn't find an explanation. If any one has an explanation with a credible source then I would love to read about it.

So, did anyone else notice all the numbers and sizes were screwed up?

So you could make my life easier if you could just say which numbers or just use one example...

Missing exponents, wrong measurements, etc.

For one example, it says that 10^-5 x 2.5 and 10^-4 x 2.5 are the same measurement (referring to the measurement of 1 mil compared to a human egg). There are others, but I'm listening to some music and I can't stand the website's music in the background of it for too long. ACK

Not sure where you see "10^-5 x 2.5 and 10^-4 x 2.5" being the same...

Ahh, opps. The math is right for both examples you posted but I can't understand why the author put ".25mm" in there. Did you notice this?

There are other examples that I mentioned already, but you have to hunt for them.

I think if they are gonna include those kind of specifics, they should get them right, you know?
