So I just finished up my RLCA's and what a pain it was to do the bushings! Here are some pics:Started off with the ball joints, which were easy to do.Pressed outNewvs. old

Then it was on to the bushings, not easy to do if it's your first time. Had to burn out the bushing part and then cut out the inner sleeve that was left over.I kinda cut a little bit into the RLCA, but I think it will be fine.

The last one was a biatch and would not come out no matter how many times I pounded on it with my chissel and hammer.

I had to cut the lip of one side of the bushing in order for it to press in. I used lube and all but I couldn't get that motha to go in. Maybe I'm a weakling end result is this

Next I will do my FLCA bushings with ball joints. YAY!

Yea i did my subframe bushings over a three day period. Just took it slow, but it also didn't help that I had to use a hacksaw, flat head screw driver, and a hammer to remove those metal selves. What a b****. But I'm glad it is done.

thats funny, because the lca's were the easiest for me to install. all i used was a vice. i had to press in the knuckle bushings. one trick that helped me was freezing the bushings for like a day before you start. its kind of a b**** to get lube on a frozen piece, but they dont fold as easy & usually pop right in

Speaking of knuckle bushings...Anywone wanna buy some for the 240sx's knuckle? they came with the RLCA bushings that you saw here, but I'm going with the Z32 knuckle (which I already had OEM bushings for) and I have no use for them. Get them while they're hot!

Its the coilovers killing your back, not the bushings, Ive got the solid bushings myself.

the funny thing is that i drove on coils for the longest time w/stock arms & thought it was rough as hell. then i replaced my bushings w/es poly, & installed some adj arms & its not as bad at all. still rides like s*** on crappy roads, but when i roll over the overpasses on the freeway the bump seems to be distributed better & not giving me the full effect. im much happier now.

To be truthful, though... I've already done all the bushings that come with upgrading your front & rear sway bars... I wonder how much change I'll feel in that case...

Yeah i agree. I have solid bushings too and I think it rides way nicer than with the rubber ones.

lets just say that i didnt buy the whole kit, because i plan on replacing my swaybars & endlinks any way. so that s*** is stock. but all i had was coils, & when i installed the bushings it was a huge difference. & like stated, when you do the lca's & upright's its a big diff. before, there was this one turn that had a pretty serious crest @ the apex, & i would have to counter steer when the susupension loaded going over it. now, the bushings eat that turn alive, and the car is less twitchy. if you didnt live so damn far away i'd b down to help you w/the install. its soo much faster if you have 2ppl

Man, I appreciate that! But I've got plenty of ppl to help out. I''ve just been exceedingly lazy. There's really no excuse considering I've got two perfectly fine, running 240's so I'll never be without transportation...

Not only have I been putting this off, but I've also delayed installing:-s13 chuki side skirts-s13 kouki rear valances-s13 248/232 cam swap-s13 undented oil pan-s13 customized tail lights-s14 kouki side skirts-s14 radio trim-s14 replacement front bumperBut on the good side of things... I did put a new battery in the s14 today! Good, yes? No?
