Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I own a 04 Nissan pathfinder and this seems to be the most active sight to join for my suv. I also have a 06 scion tc and ZO6. I am a master detailer so if anyone has any questions on paint correction or anything of the nature feel free to ask. I look forward to talking with you all.

Welcome! What year is the Z06? IMO the most underrated sports car on the market. I've got an '82 Shark.

Nice! Posting pics isn't as difficult as you would think. Go to http://www.photobucket.com and create a freeaccount. After uploading your photos just copy and paste the links that have the [/img] in them for each photo and you're golden.

Here's a few pics of my '82. She needs a new rear bumper because the original was made out of ABS and after 28 years it's warped and caused the paint to bubble. the last time it was repainted a flexing agent was supposed to be integrated but I think the dude forgot and we couldn't really go back to the guy 6 years later. Ecklers has a fiberglass one but after installing tit he entire car would have to be repainted because there's very little chance anyone would be able to match the custom color and flake and that's some serious $$$.

This was my dad's and when I was 15 I took it to see a chick I was dating down the street and back it into a fire hydrant.

Is your dads a zo6? I am thinking about putting the new kene bell on mine with a nice set of cams and a full exhaust. 6psi should be good for about 655whp

OMG that looks SWEEEEEEET!!

On my pathfinder I am looking at putting on a borla muffler. I want the sound of the 350z. Anyone on here give me any input ?

Other then that I'll be adding a intake and a decent audio system nothing too crazy maybe a 10w7 or two 8w7s.

Some hids in the headlights, fogs and maybe a bully bar

I would go with 2 10w6's instead of a single 10w7 or 2 8's. I think you'll be happier with the clarity and musical quality of the 10w6.

Carolina beach... I really wasn't planning going off road with it lol...

I was going to go 1 10w7 because of what I can get out of that sub.the 8w7s are awsome for sound quality and being loud. I'm going for loud in the car not so everyone else can hear. I used to be big into car audio but haven't been into it in awhile. My last system in my eclipse hit 148 db with a orion hcca 12d and a jbl crown amp running 700 watts

Only thing I have now is some comp JL audio ZR 6 1/2 components but there not installed.

There really isn't much in the way for exhausts for the R50 PF/Q so you have to be creative. The stock exhaust is a 2-->1 and from what I've noticed, there aren't very many 2-->1 mufflers.

The main muffler is the 2-->1 and the second or rear muffler is a single in/out and doesn't add much sound if removed.

When the time comes, my plans are to get 2, yes 2, 5" round mufflers (Borla or Magnaflow), 14-18" long, have them welded side by side with about an inch between them and then run a Y pipe at the exit and maintain the 2-->1 design like factory.

If you are a sporting fella, you can run two pipes to the back and have a true dual, twin tip exhaust, but that is up to you.

The 350Z sound is nice, but you would have to be David Copperfield to get a 350Z exhaust to fit the R50.

Hell you're halfway there. You've already been on the beach, now all you have to do is go looking for a bit of fun (or trouble).

If you guys want me to do a write up on detailing I will gladly do so.But to answer your question.

Don't over do it on the paint cleaner wax. I have seen people use it a lot and in places take the paint almost to the primer.

Buy one of these if your starting out. Hard to mess up and burn the paint. This will teach you how to buff and polish before working up to a true buffer.

washclay barpolishwashjewel the paintwax or sealant

I use a halogen light to make the defects in the paint show up more.. I will attach a few pics.

Jeweling the paint is where you use a finer polish after getting out the defects to make the paint really shine.. Think of it as polishing a rough diamond.

How Bad can your truck be? I can fix pretty much anything. Rule on scratches if you use your finger nail and go over the scratch . If it doesn't go into the scratch I can fix it. What your looking for is making sure the scratch isn't through the clear coat.

I'm good at what I do

Funny thing is i think the Z06 is the only car of mine that looks as good as any of my customers... I'll have to take a week off in the winter to get the others up to par.

I can see bare metal in some places. No worries man, I'm just kidding around about having you detail it, it wouldn't be worth your time. I'm just going to bring the Herculiner on up the sides & bedline even higher up the vehicle (I've thought about doing the whole damned thing)
