i dont understand what you mean by this statement. are you just not a fan of 22's? or is there a particular style that you've seen and nothing else comes close to it?

Both.

Mad? Oh noes I don't have my car listed, sure got me there. I'm not the one getting a case of Sandy V because everyone isn't kissing your a** telling you how good they look.

It's a 2006 M45 with all the options!!!! Happy now?

ya, I'm loving em. they fit perfect no rubbing at all and i had 5 people in the car Saturday night. i picked up 4 strippers with fake tits and for some reason they like the wheels. It must be the big Ghetto-ness of them.

Can u at least give a reason for why they look so s***ty. At least when I'm gonna flame people i give an explanation. Kinda like me saying, your car looks worse every time I see it because I just saw six M's on the way to work that look EXACTLY the same as yours.

Opinions have to have a reason? That's a new one to me. I've always hated oversized wheels (as in 3-4 inches over OEM, not 1-2 inch) as well as the VIP look.

If you say that about my car, I really don't care. More power to you chief. It's funny how people post pictures expecting praise and conformity from everyone, yet get butt-hurt when others say something different. I guess I can add you do that category.

these guys dont care about anything except the look. that has nothing to do with the performance of the car at all. youre never going to convince them that what they did makes no sense whatsoever. its just like fools sitting in a strip club looking at fake tits and thinking how good they look. its a free country and we can do whatever we like and we do regardless of whether it makes sense or not.

First off, the wheels affect the acceleration/braking so little i cant even tell. The car handles better. I don't know what car you've been driving but my M45 isn't exactly a rocket ship and i didn't foresee me heading to the track at any point in time. Whatever performance is being affected I'm unaware of it because daily driving is no different.

What do looking at fake tits at a strip club have to do with the ride of a car with wheels? That analogy = FAIL

no, opinions don't need a reason. you just look like a dick tho when you say something looks bad and give no reasoning. It almost seems like jealousy. If you would've said from the start, "i don't really like those I'm not into the big wheel look". that would've worked instead of saying they're ghetto and the more you see the worse they look.

Its more of general manners then anything. you dont just flame threads b/c you dont like something. I thought you would know this as a smart ENGINEER. it didnt take you long to throw that one up there tho did it? Like you said: "If you say that about my car, I really don't care. More power to you chief".
I guess we can add you to the general hater category.

No. Should be perfect (slightly less than flush with the wheelwell).

Mods: Tein 1.3 inch drop in the front and .5 inch drop in the rears. 12" subwoofer & amplifier. 19" Axis EXE Konkaves @ 9.5 inches wide. 245/40 Nitto Invo's on 4 corners. 2 Degree timing advance, Tint.

Even with the 9.5 inch size? It looks like you guys riding the 9 inch with 38 offset are almost flush. You think the .5 inch would stick out?

Jesus man. Just answered your question with absolute educated clarity using math and real world examples. this is YOUR car I would not guess at such a thing of importance.

I have 9 inch wide +38mm wheels on the front of my car right now!

The half inch wich is about 12mm gets shared equally on both sides of the wheel with the same offset. +6mm on the inside, +6mm on the outside. +6mm equals about a 1/4 of a inch.

Wheel diameter has nothing to do with it. I have over a 1/4 inch between my wheelwell and the outer part of the wheel in the front as we speak, err type.

Now I'll say it again in bold english...NO.

You will end up being perfectly flush with the wheelwells. Right now I am 6mm inside of the front wheelwells on my car. You will be adding 6mm on the outer and inner part of your wheels referenced to mine.

Good luck. I hope they come out great. BTW What kind of wheel?

Oh, make sure you do a mild drop if at all(Tein HT's).

It is the Torq Thrust Wheels, muscle car look. I am already dropped on Eibachs with the stock FX20's, so I hope it sits as nice with the 22's. We'll see. Ordering today or tomorrow. Once I install, I'll post photos.

Lowered on Eibachs kinda scares me bud with that offset. I'd rather see you with a +43mm or higher offset with that drop. I think you'll rub with 9.5 wide +38mm and dropped on Eibachs. It won't hurt to take 'er in a 1/4 inch.

Hey, 07sportm35, hate to be dwelling to much on this topic, but one more question:
since you say that the front will fit the the 22x9.5 with a +38, can i fit a 22x9.5 with a +30 or so on the back? Tha would give me sort of a staggered look if possible.

Thanks fiveliterbeater, not too sure how an AERO kit would look with 22's, personally 2 things I intended to NOT put on my car is the AERO kit and the MEGAN exhaust "no offense" I just dont like the way it hangs and appreciate the factory exhaust, maybe later I will, but not now.
Looks like 22's are rockin for sure, check out some other rides on cardomain -
Bigp100 - Nice ride, good choice, Im sure you hear that all the time......

+38mm is as far negative as you can go without sticking outside of the body of the car with 9.5 inch wide wheels on the front or back. As far as "flush with the wheelswells" the front and the back are the same.

NO!

There is no VIP in that car. VIP has to be slammed (preferably on air), has to have deep dishes. But I dont think the OP was going for the VIP look.

I think with a slight drop, 22's would look really good. Right now it looks 4x4. I put my old 20's on my M and they look small. 22's fill the wheel well, but it also raised the car.

Drop it OP, i bet it would look really good.

You didnt see the right one
And dont even think about pulling up beside it.

You can see I wouldnt even put a 22 on a much larger car. Its only looks and Im a performance gear head. I had a another SS with 22s and sold it. It was a dog off the line and only a cruiser with stock gears. Now if you go in and change the gear on the M I would rock some 22s staggered in billet or forged. BTW Ive yet to see a M on billets. Some BonSpeed or Intros would be extra nice you think.

its very important that you know your car and get the proper wheel to car ratio - which means in short term (IT WILL NOT LOOK LIKE A WALL MART TOY) i am aware of the egos that some guys have bigger is better but on M in general you are better off sticking to 20 , i have rolled on 19,rolled on 22 but 20 is what looks great and i can still pull of that nice clean look .

With an older M 45 i am aware that this is a car that you have to run 20 , if not you are not looking for ride quality and looks you are giving up one we all know what that is ....the same rule applies for the newer ones ...

20 inch looks great (ITS NOT A 300 C dub edition )

take a look at mine sitting on Auto Couture maq...

sorry to ask question so many times I am new on forum and still trying to figure out how it works.

I have 22" strada...just put them on today. I have 245/30/22

I am sick right now at the decision. I think the place that put them on has know clue what they were doing. That was obv. my fault for going there.

Why is my steering whell shaking?

that is another reason why cheaper after market rims are s*** , they shake and never wil replace the oem's .

i am lost for words , take them back and ask for a down size in rims size tell them that they touch , or find an excuse - most rim shop will not take them back since they are mounted - do you have pictures ?

Yes..Cheap Chinese cast wheels suck. Sell them save up and get some high dollar rims. They are not gonna take them back. Maybe tell them to keep 20% or something.

Urrp! These belong in the ghetto, IMHO.

No doubt these are gravity-cast hugely heavy wheels (i.e., low quality). To maintain overall circumference consistent with OE, you'll need to go with a preposterously low aspect ratio tire with a 22" wheel, which will harshen your ride and make both wheels and tires waaaay too suceptible to damage from potholes and other road hazards.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you should be aware of drawbacks attendant to selecting extreme wheels such as this. Me, I'd run from these puppies as fast as I can.
