That's pretty decent weight distribution.

2800 lbs is about where I'm at with me in the car and 3/4 tank of gas.

That's what I figured also.

So with a driver, the car is well over 3000 lbs then. That's a lot heftier than I always had in mind. Good thread.

Now I don't feel so bad that my car weighed in right under 2900 lbs last time I scaled it with 3/4 of a tank.

no way a coupe ways 300 pounds less, i would say about 150 lessbut hell, i can tell you the auto trans is prob close to double the weight of a manual transi can toss a manual trans no problem, but an auto trans not so much...

but hell, if you take off rear wiper motor, do s14 seatbelts and take out all electronics with old s13 seat belts, ac system completely, manual swap, all rear interior w/ donut, and clean up the engine bay of all miscellaneous connection, you could end up shaving approx. 250-300 lbs. Which is SIGNIFICANT IMO.not to mention getting lighter seats, carbon fiber bs, this can go on, and on, and on.......

With gas, minus my weight, my coupe is right at about 2615 lbs. I do have a cage and an rb26, though. I can imagine my car at 2450lbs if I had an SR.

Nope. Quoting wikipedia "A gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) is the maximum allowable total weight of a road vehicle or trailer when loaded - i.e including the weight of the vehicle itself plus fuel, passengers, cargo, and trailer tongue weight." We're talking curb weight here.

Do you have any idea how many stickies this forum already has? There wouldn't be any room left for regular threads!
