not really what im looking for.

i like this car.. it has rims/tint.

http://forums.nicoclub.com/zer...3-m45

I know the car comes with xeons stock.. how would they compare to some aftermarket 6k's? also can i throw in a flip down navigation? the one in the car stock is quite aged IMO.

What color is your ride? The 6k bulds look good Its a step up from the 4300k, but nothing too dramatic or purple looking like the rice kids in the 89 civics.

Check my sig below for some mod ideas

Don't go holding your breath on the new radio thig. It's really tough. The radio is built into the dash along with the ac controls etc. The tape deck below it has most of the brains.

There is one person in the midst of a major audio upgrade which is taking them nearly a year and has been very tough.

Come’on man! Gimme a break. I was simply giving Austin aka DirtAddsHP an idea on how clean my car was if he wanted to buy it and you come along and cock block my efforts with the "dont kid yourself", but its all good, but please post pics of this M along with all the other papar work and odo reading you mentioned and lets let the members here be the judge. In no way am I promoting a looks competition between the Canadian M vs. the Amercian Dream M, but I'd love to see what you are me about.

Make sure you get some good pics and make sure that owners gives you permission. I'd hate for you to post his or her pics on here and things get ugly. WARNING: My black car detail/polish/seal/wax skills 2nd to nonel this spring/summer and this black paint has never looked better, so come correct with the pictures.

Petrol Head... is your M black? This is all in good conversation, but I’m gonna have to call you on this comment "with age the swirls stand out...” I think if you maintain the cars color regardless of if its black, white, maroon, etc.. It will hold up. I’ve seen 2008-2009 Black cars with swirls right of the show room/car lot so, it all comes back to maintaining the color with the proper tools and products. Age is not a true factor if taken care of.

here are some of the mods i have done. black is easy to care for. as far as the wax and swirls you purchase wax for dark colrs and swirl remover. nothing like a deep black paint job.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2373835

as for the stereo you can add a upto date nave to the system and control it thru the dashbuttons.

Cool. Like I said earlier I’m not promoting a competition between me or anyone nor do I want to come off as cocky. I was just having a little fun with the guy up in Canada, but I really want to see the Ontario black M. Im anxious

McCrews,

I've posted so many detail threads but here is my latest and greatest, but keep in mind that I am not a pro, but before every detail job….I do sleep at a holiday in express the night before

1. I wash the car here at home with a soft water system we have or you can go to a car wash where they have a reverse osmosis systems. Soft water is the best.

2. Pinnacle Clay Bar - Clay bar entire car and then rinse again.

3. Dry car with electric leaf blower

4. I use a Porter Cable 7424 to polish the car with the Menzerna SIP & white cut pad and then remove polish with micro fiber towel

5. Sealant.. I use Poor Boys pure sealant with the grey pay and remove it with another clean grey polish pad

6. PoorBoys Black Hole Glaze (black car product) apply with grey polish pad and remove with 3m micro fiber towel

7. PoorBoys Nattys Blue paste wax (black car product) applied by hand and removed with another 3m micro fiber towel.

8.I let step 7 cure for 2 hours and then another coat of wax with Meguiars Hi-tech Yellow #26 applied by hand and removed with another 3M fiber towel. This Meguiars Hi-Tech Yellow#26 is a hard wax in my opinion and really makes a difference, but only if you follow the earlier steps.

*Note

The polishing process is probably the most important process. Its important to make sure that the polish breaks down until its almost clear or translucent looking. Always keep plenty of micro fiber towels on hand. When applying the products...sometimes less is better. Too much can be a real pain.

Cake,

Your M is so clean it is like a mirror.

I spent 4 hours detailing mine with Eagle One products and it still doesn't shine like yours.
Here are some pics from 1 day after detail.

I'm bringing th M and dynoing the Z that day. I'm shooting for 430 whp.

I was hoping you could come and show that sweet M of yours since it is not often you see one that nice. It's not a competition, it's just Nissan/Infiniti enthusiast getting together showing their rides and enjoying some free grub.

Nissan Sport mag will be there. You might get a photo of you car in that mag.

Sorry to threadjack guys.

Japan Gloria Bumpers are the Original Japan Bumpers for the Y34 which is called a Gloria in Japan.

PAC Audio Video Integration kit allows you to input video into the stock nav screen also audio through the SAT button if you are not using SAT Radio.

nice car and nice resume. I wish I could see that Buddy Club coil over setup in person. How does that workwith the rears since the rears are in spring seats instead of wrapped around a strut/shock? Where the front a core swap?

As for as I know, none of the aftermarket nav systems have RCA outputs for you to display the nav image on other screens.

The PAC Audio Video kit gives you 2 sets of RCA inputs which can be displayed on the stock nav screen. (ie. a dvd player and reverse camera)

What I have done with my system is added a Alpine DVD Head unit with RCA outputs, which plays dvd's and also has Ipod control.

So now when you hit the SAT radio button it switches the video/audio inputs on and I can play DVD's and music through my ipod/iphone

Here is a pic of the head unit.
