Hey guys! After months of research and careful deliberation, I finally choose a direction and began ordering parts. Here is what I got so far (there are still many more parts to acquire):

Also just got a new boot and this NISMO knob. Looks pretty sweet!Gotta represent NICO!

This is what I have so far: MSD 72 lb injectorsJGY top mount fuel railJWT S3 camsZ32 MAFSJWT tuned ecu

Soon to come:Gt2871r .64ARP head studsCometic hg or cosworth hg (haven't decided which yet and I don't want one of those apexi's cause a buddy of mine who really knows his stuff says that his always leaks just a tiny bit).Stance GR+ pros coilovers (I'll finally get rid of my ground controls haha).some other odds and ends including GTSpec hatch c-pillar brace

I'm planning on just running this setup with the stock T25 for now (on 1 bar of boost) until I get money for the GT2871r which will hopefully be this summer. However, the coilovers take priority so if I only have money for one or the other this summer, I'm getting the coilovers. I'm hoping for somewhere between 380 and 400hp after I get the GT2871r turbo at around 21 psi. I'm going to try to get the injectors, maf, and stuff in tomorrow and I'm going to try to get the cams in on sunday. I'll try to update with some pics along the way. Thanks For reading!

Haha yeah. That's what every one was saying in that thread, too. Hopefully I will be just as fortunate. Not that I'm planning on running 14psi for 6 years but definitely for the next few months.

okay, so I got the fuel rail, injectors (and resistors), and maf on today. I still havent fired it up yet because I need another clamp for my fuel lines. Hopefully, I'll be getting it running tomorrow and getting the cams in it. I'll post pics later (and possibly a vid or two).

Check into a forced performance 20g for the SR20. It bolts to the stock mani and outlet and everything else. It just needs the oil feed line changed. It flows more than the 2871r too. I will most likely go with this turbo over the 2871r. FP makes some good stuff. Ask any evo guy about their fp green.

Apexi is a great head gasket. You have to get atleast get the head milled to make sure it's nice and flat. Do not, under any circumstances, run a Cometic headgasket. You'll hate yourself for it and we really don't want to hear the whining about it, when you realize it was a poor mistake and can't get it to seal. Cosworth is a great choice and is what I am running on my car. Build looks good so far, keep it up. This reminds me, I really need to update mine..

Yeah, I've been reading a little bit about the different types of gaskets and how they seal against the head and Cometic's product definitely did not rank high in comparison with other gaskets. I dont know yet though. I still need to do a lot more research.

I got it started today after figuring out the maf wiring (there was some strange stuff going on there.) my z32 maf harness had 5 wires instead of 4 and the orange one (which I thought would be the signal) turned out to not be used at all. I have to say, it runs better than i expected. The JWT tune is amazing! even at the same boost level i can feel it pulling harder with more mid range power. The maf also helps with the throttle response and even spool too! The only thing is though that I'm getting a little bit of misfire at idle and under light acceleration. I'm sure it's probably a bad injector connection (or that the car hasn't been started in about 1.5 months) but i'll take a look at my wiring tomorrow. Overall, it runs fantastic! I'll try to get some finished product pics up tomorrow (and maybe some pics of the car if it gets washed). I'm also going to try to get a short video of the sr at 14 psi sometime this week.

Yea, ask them how quickly those turbos fly apart too. FP does make some good stuff, but their product quality is no where near that of Garrett/Precision/Borg Warner, etc etc etc. You will have that issue in the custom turbo land though...

Also do not forget that total Flow of a compressor means nothing when it's big laggy and boring

GT2871 .64 easily supports 400whp, and has that lightning fast response of the small turbine T2 flanged turbos we all love. The 20g offers no real advantage in any category that I can think of. Go with what works Mike...I love my car, and you've been in it...plenty of power for a street car if you ask me.

Yeah, these things are really hard to find for a good price these days. I don't actually remember where I got it but I definitely paid for it though. It was like $250 or something crazy! Just Google xenon lip for an s13. You'll find some place that sells them.

I just tried to take some video of my car to no avail. I tried to get my girlfriend to film it but when i started to hit boost in second gear she got scared, turned the camera off and began to yell at me. So, no video for now. It also looks like i wont have enough time to get the cams in over break. I was going to do them with a friend who was supposed to be coming home tonight but he decided to stay to go to some party at school. Oh well. I'm currently in the process of reupholstering the door panels and glove box. I'll try to get some pics up tonight.

She wasn't loling though. I got the silent treatment for a while after that too. I think that's probably because I didn't stop my pull even after she started yelling. Once I get some boost in me, I cant stop! Know what I mean? I'm pretty sure she hates my car now.

I agree w/ the above post about the 20G. I'm just a fan of anything different than a 2871R, good turbo but it is what EVERYBODY uses. The FP 20g is badass and will definitely make more power than the 2871. If you search google a bit you can find a write up Sam from tiger racing did on a completely stock S14 motor that made 380ish at the wheels at around 18 psi. and then pulled 440ish at 24psi on race gas. It's an awesome write up, definitely worth a look.

There is a reason why EVERYBODY uses it. Because it's a great turbo with good flow and excellent response which is what I really am looking for. Cody's car makes 420 on the gt2871r at 21 psi I think (correct me if I'm wrong Cody) and never have I driven in a more responsive and streetable turbo car. The Gt2871r is a good all around turbo for output and responsiveness. I'm not all about top end power (which the Gt2871r can make plenty of anyway). I will take a look at that writeup though.

I have a bunch more pictures on my camera that I forgot to upload before I came back to school. I forgot the camera at home too. They'll just have to wait I guess.

Actually, I didn't like it really when I first got it but it has definitely grown on me. I think it looks really good at some angles. I don't know. I still go back and forth with it.
