It's a pretty significant dent, covers most the qp. Whats the cheapest way I could go about fixing this and make it look good. Please don't recommend bondo or fiberglass because I don't know how to use them and I don't know anyone who does.

ehhhh that a hard one to say.. but there are a few things, Get a pulling kit "forgot what their called, its been awhile" and pull it out, Or go get used rear quarter panel and if you know how to weld than you could do it, Or you can go the cheap way and get Overfenders. I think its like 30mm. and slap them over, But i suggest you get some huge wheel spacers or new wheels so it doesnt look to horrible and the wheel fits the well

Good luck

Oh and if you pull them out, till almost decently straight. Than you can bondo them, I see that you said you dont wanna use it but its fairly easy if you mix it right and you put light coats on at a time!

I'm not too hot on the overfender idea. I mean I wouldnt mind it, but it'd be more costly because of the fact that I'd have to get some wider wheels.

Can someone supply a picture of a 240's overfender. Close up.

id say that you go to this place called http://www.youtube.com and learn how to use bondo and a dent puller... cuz thats the easiest and cheapest way to undo that much of a dent...

There are two kinds of dent pullers, ones you weld a stud on and use a slide hammer, and the other you just drill a certain size hole in the deep spots and the screw you slide hammer into the hole and pulll... and to cover up the holes you BONDO over them and the low spot

just go to youtube and look it up!

could I get someone's msn or something who knows how to use bondo well. If I knew how to bondo I'd definately go that route, but I need to talk to someone who is experienced. Anyone>

I prefer talking to an actual person to learn what I want, no offense to the people making videos, I'd just rather talk to someone, and not watch a video.

i just did a $400 brake job for $80 because of all the help i got from youtube and nico... and over fenders dont look as good as a real fender... and your the one that wanted the cheapest way!!! itll only cost you like $75 to do it this way... and doing it with bondo and a a dent puller will give you the experience so tht=at you could do it again

I know how, ive been dealing with that stuff for years.

Its actually fairly easy, you just got to be patient and fold the bondo and DO NOT stir it. Apply light coats and you should be good.. Also the right mixture always is a good thing to do haha

plus, if you get an over fender, you would have to buy two so that the other side would be the same

I'm not doing overfenders. I am liking the dent puller/bondo idea. As for the bondo, it seems like a difficult task to learn, and they never mess up in the videos so it's not really a benefit to me, and I wouldn't know when I'm messing it up.

And what if I ruin my fender because I did it wrong.

Dude, Just Get Another 240sx And Swap The Mods.

Cause The Other Side, In My Opinion Is Way Past Over Fenders.

Unless You Straighten, Bondo/Filler, Sand.

Only If It Has No Rust, Which From The Looks Of It Might Have Lots Of It.

Edit: Getting New Wheels Isn't A Bad Idea Cause Those... FWD Offset FTL...

You wont ruin it with bondo, because you just sand it back down again. but try to pull as much as possible out, trust me it will be worth it! Also if you go the bondo route, get this cheese grader looking thing, because it will save you alot of time!

I was thinking about just getting new qp's off another 240 and I really liked that idea, and I had instructions on how to do it, however... I have no idea where to drill out the spot welds, let alone identify them or know what the look like or anything.

If I knew what they looked like, and had picture'd instructions on how to drill out the spot welds for the qp, I might actually attempt it.

dude just go to a junk yard and cut out a quater panel, get it welded in. and for bondo, all you really need to do is read the side of the screwing can its in. this isnt rocket science, and mabey on your next tokyo drift run you should either do it in an empty parking lot or on a track jackass.

If You Weld Another QP You Would Still Have To Bondo And Sand.

It's In All Answers, Unless You Want To It To Look Like Crap.

Thanks for all the ideas, I think I am gonna go the dent puller/bondo route.

Feel free to email me anything about bondo'ing you should I should know.

EDIT: One last question, should I sand off all the paint before bondo'ing? Probably a noob question, just wondering if it matters.

Either sand the pant or get some kind of paint remover or something that dulls out the paint and takes the clear coat off, But i must let you know that you WILL need to drill holes in your quarter panel.. dont sweat it, Its not hard at all Just take you time, BE PATIENT . and pull it out..

here is when i did it to my quarter panel of my MR2 ..

than After

Why will I need to drill holes? And where? Random spots?

The reason for drilling i so you can either use the screw method or use this L shaped piece to go into the metal and you use the slide hammer and pull it and it will pull the dent slowly in sections out, But yes just drill in the deep spots, Ill use your picture as a reference and ill point to all the areas where you would, drill.. Ill have pics up in 10 mins

Ok so it might look like alot of hole but really its not. FIRST.. Go in the interior and try to get to the quarter panel from the inside and even if its a big or little spot , find either something to hit it with to push it back out as far as it need to, than after getting it out as much as you need to, than you can start drilling small holes to fit the L keys in and use the slide hammer and give it a pull and youll see it will slowly pop out.. dont drill the holes to closely to each other..

But heres what i got for ya..

Any questions just ask
