Hey guys, new to the site and this is my first post. Just put on the new 22"x9" Gianelle Machined face rims. I love em. They handle better then the stock but of course the acceleration is affected alittle, but it doesnt bother me as im not into racing everyone. Check em out, i havent seen anyone with these so I thought id give em a go. You can see the dramatic difference from the stocks in the front.

I think the 22s are great looking wheels, just think they're a little too big for our wheel well. May look good when you post with all four installed. Just curious to see how much it's going to lift it off the ground. Looks like it could be a couple inches.

Uhhhhh..... where's the tire at??? Is that a tire around that wheel or a rim protector??? Looks good, but a bit too big. I wouldn't do it, but it's your taste and that's what really matters.

No modifications needed. Tire size is 255/30/22 all around with no rubs whatsoever. Falken tires. They are an awesome tire. I have them on my truck and they are great.

Also, in terms of "lifting" the vehicle, its very small and not noticeable when in the vehicle. If you see the pics of the stock 19" vs the 22" wheel the height difference is very small. The overall look and handling is worth it. And to compensate on the larger tire size I have the Element 114 exhaust on order to finish off the look and add power.

Those rims are sweet!

What model are they? Tropez-10 ?

Do these come in 19-20"? Or does anyone know ones that are similar in that size?

yes, tropez 10. They do come in smaller sizes. I believe 20" is the smallest

Looks nice. My back hurts just thinking of riding on so little air, though.

I left the stocks on the front and 22s on the rear and went for a spin and I compared the ride when the stocks hit a bump compared to the 22s, and they were the same. You all would be really surprised. I was.

Unfortunately, so is deceleration.

Weight, strength, hub centricity, offset are the most important criteria for dynamic performance, after tire traction and loading capacity.

Wheels in operating mode -i.e. moving - pretty much all look the same.

Lack of Deceleration is also not noticeable, you have to remember, I am going from 19" to 22" not say 26", and the wheels are 7 lbs difference total from stock. Not a major difference. Also giovanna makes a lighter wheel than some cheaper versions and not having chrome wheels also lightens the load.

i think my overall end result is if you didnt tell me i had switched the rims out to a larger set, you wouldnt know except for a little loss in get up and go.

you have I suppose an expensive set of oversized rims with cheap tires...since you invested in a set of rims i would suggest investing in a good set of tires....have you tried putting a set of suv rims on there, maybe 24in and just leave out the tires???

Wow! The 22's look huge on the M compared to the 19's. Not a bad look in my opinion. The car definitely makes a statement.

Good choice on the rims, looks great. The 22's IMHO are too big for our M sedans. Either stock 19 or 20's look and match the rest of the car's proportion.

Ive gotten numerous compliments on the look. IMO the 22's finish off the vehicle and make it look like a 50K+ dollar vehicle and not another maxima. Not to mention I was able to sell my stocks and pay for the element 114 exhaust.

I'm definitely not a fan of big wheels, but those 22s do look really good on the M. I think I'd prefer a little more sidewall, though. I hate to think what would happen to those wheels after an encounter with a pothole.

Think you're going a lil overboard with that line of thinking....but hey its an opinion and you know what line is on opinions. Nice rim itself, but IMO, 20s lowered is better look than the 22s. I always wonder why folks are concerned what others feel about their rim selection. It wasn't like you were going to read something here and take them back off the vehicle were you? lol.

In the end, as long as you're happy your selection, that's all that matters.

Nice ride man, I love the 22 inch look on the M. I have gotten numerous comments on the car. Most of the people ask me what kind of car it is since there isnt that many out there. I have an 03 M45. The only thing bad about the 22 inches is that you lose the comfort/cushion. You can feel everything and if you hit a pothole, say bye-bye to your tire and rim. I have cracked 2 rims in less than 4 months. Good luck,

I totally understand on the pothole issue. I think its also where you live as I was reading in other posts. In washington state there arent huge holes to fall into. Its all straight highway cruising.

Also when I meant to finish off the look, i wasnt at all trying to go overboard. The wheels and tires on a new $55k dollar M45 are for a fact more sunk in like maximas and altimas off the lot. when you buy a loaded M3,M5 or even some audis they finish off the look for you with a more wider stance to the fender wall. An M3 thats half the size of the M45 comes stock with a wide stance 19" wheel. Thats all I meant. Dont get me wrong, Infiniti makes an awesome machine
