I am currently browsing for a custom paint for a 97 240. For me bright colors are the best for small cars but it is hard to find a nice tone nowadays. I am thinking of the f350 amarillo paint or perhaps a nsx long beach pearl blue. Does anyone know of any custom colors that would be suitable for a clean looking 240. Please post your rides so I can start mixing ideas. Thanks for the help

alright man i spray ppg at work but if you are looking for some sick colors check into the planet color series by sherwin-williams. its the rival to house of color by ppg. What they did was actually teamed up with revlon makup and got their old mirrors and grinded them down to look like a pearl. but when the sun hits it, it makes the color go crazy because it reflects off of the mirrors. its frickin crazy. check it out

Black is too common but thanks for the opinions. I might go two tone or put enough clear coat to make the invisible car.

fact. done it.

anyway, midnight purple is a sweet color, i almost did it on my coupe. but instead i chose 350z colors and did that! pikes peak white and carbon gray. but, personally, i'm a fan of mercedes colors, so you should check them out, too.

Ive always been curious about this, how does one go about obtaining a color like Glacier Frost Mica to spray there car? because thats one of the best colors ive ever seen in my life. If i could spray my car that color i would be ecstatic.

You either Love the color or hate it I do get mixed reviews, The thing is you just never know if the person who is telling you they don't like it is saying it because they are jealous....I didn't buy the car to show off... I bought it to fly. and what it reminded me of when I saw the paint was some strange Exotic Dragon Fly or Bug...I know what you mean about putting certain colors on certain cars they just end up looking,,,Oh how do I put this....Kind of Getto and Just wrong!! But I think this color would look good on the vehicle thats being talked about here any way thats just me passing my Gas....What the Heck do I know anyway I am certainly NO EXPERT FOR SURE. I am just the Limo Dude

No problem....I love taking the Gallardo out near that area, Holy Hill Richfield area as well, lots of twisting curvey roads....It's what this machine was made for. A normal car cornering at lets say 35 mph this vehicle can do the same corner at around 65mph It's like the thing is riding in a slot or something. I have never driven anything close to the controll this car has,,,The only thing that comes some what close is the Limo Q. The thing is if my Q was as small as this car it would probably give it a good run for the Money,,,But alas I could park Three Gallardos in the space it takes to fit the Limo Q.

I have been thinking about some paint ideas lately since I am planning to paint mine soon and I have come up with blue tiger camo or a black and white spiral starting at the center top of the roof (This one would be very tedious process I think). Kinda want something different, tired of seeing white and blue 240's as much as I do like how good they look.

In my area, red is a common 240 color. I like blue but finding a unique color is hard now especially with the branch that scion has of every car having a metallic coat. Exotic colors don't go that well because it gives that suped up civic look(not bashing on civics). You have to be picky when you choose. A shade too bright or too dark may have you rethinking about how you could have spent your money. I am still searching for that perfect color and it has been over 4 months since I started looking.
