How rare do you think 240sx's are? s13 and or s14.

I was talking to a guy earlier about buying my car and I said "they're kind of rare too" and he went on talking about acura integras and how they're more rare. and also how he sees 240sx's all the time.

not that rare, actually, pretty common. clean examples however, are a lot harder to find.

Neither is very rare, 240s are a dime a dozen these days and integras are even more available. I wouldnt consider either to be rare. Both are very sought after cars nowadays though, for good reason. Sounds like a pretty good pissing match though.

94 and 98 are the rarest 240's and there are more S13's than S14's (i think this is only US production numbers tho)

i agree with it being different where you live, but 240's are nowhere near as common as civics. in wisconsin i can look around and literally see 5 civics at any point in time. civics are EVERYWHERE. you will be very surprised if you actually count all the civics you see. it is insane.

i am lucky if i see a 240 once a week around here. there are only 3 240's in delafield where i live. i have the only s13. then there is one beat up zenki s14 and one amazing kouki with jdm aero.

so, no. 240's are nowhere close to as common as civics. however still not considered "rare."

where I live, you'll be lucky to spot an s14 that you don't know of...there are like 5 s14's up here and they are all my friends lol

and a clean, straight, m/t s13 is a pretty hard find. A lot of s13's around here have something wrong with them, like a big accident, autotragic, or just really really filthy

my old subway manager drove a filthy autotragic s13 coupe with spinner hubcaps and a big dent on the passenger side quarter panel, I swear the car said "please push me off a cliff" every time I walked by.

I dont think there like civics at all. I see about 20 civics a day, and probably 80% of the people who drive them just have them as affordable economy cars

i see maybe one 240 every other week lol and pretty much everybody who owns one knows what they have. the others are just POS $500 auto s13's they found for a daily beater. But now, the s13's that are worth $500 are sold for $2k, so pretty much everyone who buys one knows what they are buying lol

They aren't rare, but like someone said, finding a clean 5 speed that hasn't been raced/drifted/crashed/other problems is pretty hard to come by. I think in a couple of decades the 240sx will probably have the same value as an old S30, there aren't that many of them but if you look hard enough you can still find an OK one for $1000. I see the S13 as a future classic.

Yes, i would say They are on the verge of becoming rare based solely on comparing the manufactured numbers. The 240sx never really was a very successful car.

Ya, because of all the years I lived in Westchester county NY for 5 years, I have only seen ONE S13 hatch, ONE Green (gone to a ricer coupe, and ONE red S14 Zenki driven by an old lady. (wtf)

here in palmbay and melbourne fl. theres mabe 6 s14's and like 20 s13's my g/f and I just so happen to have 2 of the nicest ones....but thats cause they were built by me....haha....no but yeah not to many nice s14's around here. but you would be luck to come by a kouki theres 3 here 1 is boosted ka 1 is s14 sr and the other is an rb25 FULLY BUILT FAST MOTHER!!!

i actually started to see a lot. recently i saw 2 zenkis and a stock base kouki driven by some older dude prob. dono what he's driving. s13's...ive seen some stock pignoses and a few borderline ricey ones.

CLEAN 240s...hmm...yes pretty rare i've prob. seen like under 10 so far in my lifetime. that's why i like my car cause it's not beat up like every other 240 i see.

ive actually never seen who the owners are, but still. then my friend that lives across the street has a 240 too, lol. theres a crashed coupe down the street, but i dont think it counts lol.

EDIT: LoL i just remembered that infront of my old elementary school, theres this house that has a suppper clean s13 coupe and s14 kouki parked infront of it. damn, i just realized that theres a shatload of 240sx's 'round here. (my old school is like 3 minutes away from my house haha.)

In SoCal 240sx is not that rear.. but to me I think is rare to find a clean one!!

I think Rx7 in SoCal is rare then 240sx I dont see too many rx7 around in my area.

strangely enough, 5 years ago, there werent half as many 240s out on the road. my s13 was the fourth one in my town (i had to go almost 150 miles to get it) 4 years ago. now there are several people in this town that have 2 or more, myself included.

but s10's & chevy mailbu's are everywhere.
