What MPG are you guys getting?

I get around 19 to 20 every time I fill up. I do about 70% highway and 30% local.

I'm getting 10 l/100km (highway) and 14 l/100km (city).US MPG equivalent gives approximtly : 23 (highway) and 16 MPG (city).This is based on the onboard computer (is it accurate ??).

Highway was measured at relatively slow speed (average 70mph) on straight road.

Yeah I'm with you. but I've put through 2 tanks so far. I'm hoping once it gets past the break in point mileage will start to go up.

I got my EX with 9 miles on it and the first tank from the dealer I got 414 miles almost all highway when I filled up the first time and the refuel light did not come on. When i filled up it took 17 gallons. According to the computer I got 19.7 mpg but the numbers don't add up. 20 gal tank at 19.7 is less than 400 miles per tank. Maybe the tank holds more than than 20 gallons? My weekly commute is about 360 miles so as long as I make it thru the work week on one tank I am happy.

I drive 90% to 95% on the highway and have been averaging maybe 22 - 23 MPG since I got my EX about 5K miles ago. Unlike my 97 SAAB, the mileage on the EX doesn't seem to change much with driving habits. The SAAB would get about 27 MPG if I didn't pay attention to the speed limit, but if I stayed below 65MPH the mileage would go up to 31MPG. I tried the same experiment on the EX (driving fast versus driving slow), but driving slower doesn't change the mileage perceptibly. And I don't know why.....

Infiniti is more of a lux-performance company than I realized when I bought my G. More powerful, smoother, higher reving engines, etc. Also, they are RWD. Typically, RWD cars are not as fuel efficient as FWD cars. I had a 2006 Max with the VQ35 that got, on average, about 15 to 20% better mileage than the VQ35 in the G. I attribute much of that to the final drive ratio, 3.69 I believe. I'm averaging 16.9 in town, and about 22-23 on the hilly SoCal freeways. I have found that slowing down to 60, and suffering the wrath of other drivers, will greatly improve my cars mileage to 26 - 27 (on the road).

The more I look at the EX, the more I think about replacing the G in a few years with one. At least if I do, the mileage issue won't be a surprise.

Up to 19.5 mpg at 5300 miles. The ration to hway/city is about 40-60.

Mine has about 700 miles on it, and I get about 23 mpg when driving 90% highway. Interestingly, according to the EX's computer, my mpg improves when I increase my speed to 75-80 mph, and decreases in the 65-70 mph range!

I wonder if the police officer will buy that when I tell him I'm speeding to save on fuel!

well, I guess the NJ gas that Holman infiniti put in mine wasn't the same gas you were using. The first tank was horrible.

Do they use ethanol in gas in NJ?

I bought mine from Circle Infiniti, West Long Branch and salesman told me that the filled the car on delivery with premium fuel. I'll never know if this is true. I think all the gas in NJ has ethanol. I have been babying the car so far until I hit the 1200 miles break-in point with slow start accelerations and no cruise control.

I have a 6 Litre GMC Sierra Denali Truck with QuadraSteer and a Westers Tune in it... and I'm getting 19mpg

It kinda blows me away about the numbers you guys are posting above. They're not all that great, compared to my gas-sucking Truck.

However, if Gas Mileage was a major concern in what I chose to buy, I wouldn't have a Denali or an EX35 in the Garage. I'd have 2 Bicycles instead.

As long as I can afford to drive either... I will continue to do so. I'm not gonna drive a Sh*t-box for the sake of a few more mpg's. I'm gonna drive what I like to be in, and that's all there is to it.

So I will answer the question... Average MPG on my EX35 = who cares ?

Please don't take my reply the wrong way and attack me. I bought the vehicles for what I liked and not for gas mileage.

Is it a nice position to be in... YES.

Will this feeling last forever... PROBABLY.

Will it hurt to fill the Tank as Gas Prices go up... HELL YA.

Will I sell my vehicles, because of it... FU*K NO.

The US guys are quoting mileage for a US gallon, is your Denali mileage for CDN gallon?Over 17000 km, my EX is getting 10 litres/100km, or 23.5 MPG U.S. or 28.3 MPG Cdn. About 75% highway .

I drive 60 miles rountrip daily with 90% highway. We get between 24 - 26mpg and we ONLY have 3400 miles on it.

Of course when you play you pay, but when I ease up it really gets great mileage.

I only completed 150 miles on the car, and I drive it exclusively in the city. My commute has an average 5 traffic lights per 1 mile. The gauge shows about 10MPG! I hope it gets better as the engine breaks in. I was hoping fuel pump replacement would improve mileage, but it didn't help at all.

It is the AWD, on 91 octane, but considering we are in Denver that is pretty good considering the loss in power at altitude. This is of course with no AC on.

Do not feel so bad. I am all city, well back roads, not many trafffic lights (like 5 in total) and I am getting 15.5 to 15.7.

Took delivery with about 20 miles.

I filled up last night since I was at a 1/4 tank and the computer said I was at 21mpg. I didnt do the math because I wasnt sure how much the dealership used and they obviously gave me a not so full tank of gas.

I'll start to do the calcuations next time I fill it up and compare it to the computer.

If I can get in the 25 range on a regular bases I'd be thrilled.

My previous car was a 2007 STI and I was able to get between 25-27 with my driving habbits. That's rather high if you are wondering.

My wife and I are nearing the end of a 3,800 mile road trip in the EX35. Our trip took us across California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Nebraska. The vast majority of the trip was done on highways with the cruise control set at 79mph (in a 75 zone). There were a fair number of miles at reduced highway speeds as low as 35-45mph because of road construction up and down the Rocky Mountains.

Our best tank: 27.2 mpgOur worst tank: 23.8 mpgThe average: 26.2 mpg

That's 2 mpg better than Infiniti's EPA Highway rating! To say I'm thrilled is an understatement! And, frankly, had we done the same trip but never exceeding 65 mph, I think the average MPG would have been over 27!

The EX35 is an extremely comfortable long-distance touring vehicle! We found the seats to be among the best we've ever had for long trips. That, plus the bevy of entertainment available (iPod Music, iPod Podcasts, XM Radio Comedy, News, 50's, 60's, 70's music, etc.) really helps to relieve the boredom factor of long-distance travel. The excellent HVAC control system assured that both my wife and I were comfortable.

Sadly, the EX35 took more than its share of pounding from small rocks and BUGS! Just too many 18-wheelers on these roads and they seem to love to pitch up small rocks. But, oh, the bugs!!! You can hardly see the color of the paint behind the front bumper!

My previous ride being a 2001 Audi S4, I was seriously looking at a 2008 STi myself. It may seem odd that I settled on an EX35, but the absence of a demo STi to even drive played a huge role.

(Besides, my boys are near driving age, so I thought it would be marginally safer for them to learn in an automatic EX than a manual-shift STi ... ah, the sacrifices we make for our kids!! )

I ran 91 (and sometimes 92) Octane for every tank but one. The exception was when I pulled into a station in Ogallala Nebraska that showed Super Unleaded at the best price we had seen to that point. I was so excited about finding gas for under $3.60 that I didn't even notice the octane rating until I had already pumped about half a tank. It was 89 octane, not 91. The station didn't have anything higher than 89. Knowing that all of that next tank would be burned on the flat roads of Nebraska, I wasn't too worried about just finishing the fill up with the 89 octane. We overnighted in Ogallala and continued our trip the next morning. When we reached our destination on the eastern side of Nebraska, I noticed that I was only getting 25 mpg for the tank. With running around in town for the next day or so, the mileage dropped down to 23.8 (our worst tank of the whole trip). I was puzzled.. We climbed up and down the Rocky Mountains and got over 27 mpg. How could flat as a pancake Nebraska cause us to only get 25?

That night, it struck me.... 89 Octane!!

As far as I'm concerned, it was proof positive that the higher octane (91) gives you better mileage.

I was on the highway today, and managed to increase the gas mileage to 17.5MPG from the dismal 10MPG in the city. I envy those of you who can get upper 20s with theirs. I guess RWD is making a huge difference.
